To Smoke Weed Or To Vape? That Is The Question
We've reached a turning point in our country where marijuana use is starting to become the norm. Legalizing it has already happened but only certain types in most places such as edibles, thc pills and vaporizers will all be considered to be ok. We've heard a lot of news about eCigarettes and how they're better for ya than smoking actual cigarettes but how about with weed?
A raw cannabis plant has over 100 cannabinoid different cannabinoid which are chemical compounds that bind to the cannabinoid receptors in your brain cells. One of those is THC which is what's responsible to the psychotropic effects of smoking weed. Then there are others like CBD that give you a body high without all the mental fogginess. Depending on where it's grown a cannabis plant will naturally contain anywhere from 4-65% THC and products with a high THC content like hash dont actually need heat in order to be activated as you can experience their effects by simply eating them. It's just that heating them makes them even more potent.
When you smoke weed you're using an open flame which is a high heat and that combustion process activates the THC so when you inhale it the alveoli lining your lungs will deliver it to your bloodstream, thats why you feel the effects of marijuana it almost immediately. Vaporizers on the other hand use a process called conduction heating where either the raw or an extract of the plant has direct contact with the heat source but without the open flame. Using a lower temp and heating it up just enough to vaporize the THC that way you feel the effects of it but without the all the health problems that come along with smoking.
